Supporting A Position

I do not agree with capital punishment, I do not feel that it is not man’s position to take another mans life. I feel God did not intend for us to take each others lives, even as punishment. For one, there are a lot of men and women that are currently sitting on death row, sentenced to death for crimes that they may or may not have committed. Also, some people truly can be rehabilitated through the prison system. Even if they do not ever get released into the general public they can in some way give back to their country and communities.

      Capital punishment whether it be lethal injection or the electric chair seems to be a cruel and unusual way to die. Florida apparently makes that worse by not having trained professionals administering the lethal fluids that are injected into the blood stream to end a convict’s life. If there has to be a death penalty, it needs to be administered in a more humane a professional way.

      For me capital punishment begins way before the judge and jury gives their decision. When asked if the U.S. should continue to use capital punishment, I say no. Unless we have a perfect judicial system in which no mistakes are made we shouldn’t take lives. This will eliminate the chance that a person may be dying for a crime that they did not commit. There are so many prisoners that are exonerated at the last minute, why does it take all the way to the last minute to prove someone’s innocence? This makes me question the job that was done during the investigation? Did the police officers on the scene of the crime collect all the evidence? Was all evidence thoroughly examined?
