Dear 4-H Endowment Committee,

                                     Hello, I am ____________ of Chehalis, WA. The 2008 National Holstein Convention was a blast!! It was held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The resort is home to the world’s largest indoor water park! I am pretty sure that I have never seen an indoor water park that enormous in my life. If I can recall there were at least 5 different water slides, a wave pool that had 7 ft waves! Multiple hot tubes were spread out through the park, then there was a surf machine that enabled a person to surf on a surfboard or bogie board, which was very neat because had a very strong water pump that would push water out an inlet and up a ramp. Then the person could just lean side to side on the surf board and they could surf the man made waves. The water park also had a giant little tyke area where little ones could play and that was huge!! The resort also had an outdoor water park!! It contained two big pools and a gigantic river that a person could sit on a raft and just float around it all day! Then there were even more awesome water slides and other fun activities.
            Wow!! The water park sure was fun but I had gone to the “Dairy state” with the Washington state Jr. Holstein Association. I was representing the state as a member of the Senior Quiz bowl team.
