Report of Development of a New Toothpaste for Healthwise


1.    Introduction:
We are a group of researchers from IP at AL Ain Branch. and our task is to develop a new product for gulf ,targeting the UAE market in particular. In this report, I will talk about the product development, and the marketing strategy.

2.    Product Development:
The name of our product is AMA shampoo. We chose this name because its an abbreviation of our names Ali, mohanad and abdullah. The shampoo will contain a yellow and white paste with a lemongrass flavor. Our container will contain two colors white which will give you the feeling of clarity and yellow which is the color of our flavor. We sated a price for the 225 ml which is a medium size for 8 DH. Our target costumers of this product are families especially adults because it’s a large group of people in the UAE and the market level of our product is mid-market. The massage of our shampoo is that if you used our product you will be active and attractive. We are planning to supply our product in supermarket, pharmacies, and groceries.

3.    competition:
To be able to make the right decision about pricing and other issues we went to the several supermarkets to chick the prices of our competitors and bought some to compare between them. We discovered that there are many competitors but the main competitor is “Sun Silk” shampoo. There are some similarities and few differences between our product AMA shampoo and Sun Silk” shampoo. The similarities are the container shape and the target customers. But differences are first the unique flavor which is lemongrass flavor.
