Toyota Motor Corporation is a multinational corporation headquartered in Japan. This worldwide automobile manufacturer does not only involve in designing, manufacturing, and selling automobiles, but also operates other business sections such as information technology, intelligent transport systems, e-commerce and financing service. Toyota Motor Co. has developed automotive operation systems that combine automotive, information and telecommunications technologies. Toyota Motor Co.'s financial services business primarily consists of providing financing to dealers and their customers for the purchase or lease of its vehicles. On December 7, 2004, a U.S. press release was issued stating that Toyota would be offering Sirius Satellite Radios. However, as late as Jan. 27, 2007, Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite radio kits were not available for Toyota factory radios.
Toyota sells its vehicles in more than 170 countries and regions. Toyota's primary markets for its automobiles are Japan, North America, Europe and Asia. Toyota Motor announced in November of 2006 that they had reached a production record for the month. It was the 25th consecutive month of production increases for Toyota, with production at 763,000 units, up 12 percent from the same month of 2005. Toyota almost took the top spot of General Motors, currently the world’s largest automaker. An increase in demand from the North American market has been one of the main factors in Toyota's production increases.
