1. Service industries are everywhere
After doing the SERQUAL survey, we found that there are some different and similarity between student understanding of their role in the service delivery process of teaching and teacher’s perception of teaching. In the teacher’s perception, they will expect the students to finish their homework on time, focus on their studies and pass their examinations. In addition, the students are also expected to come to class on time and pay attention in the class. At the same time, they will have to maintain an effective communication with each other; therefore, the teacher will know what the students don’t understand about and focus on teaching a particular topic. In students’ perception, they will expect the teacher to be well prepared for the teaching material, like teaching them some knowledge, which is outside from the book. Mostly importantly, the students will prefer to have less homework, projects or examinations.
2. Categories of Service Mix
i) The Hilton Hotel Groups have changed their service procedures in check in and check out. In the past, all the check ins and outs are done manually, in which the guests may wait for a long times to get through the check in/out process. Nowadays, the waiting time for check in/out is shortened by inventing a new technology that the guests can check in or out by using the computer system. The computer systems can performance the basic functions as the front office system, Opera or Fedelio. It is not only helping the guests to check in/out, but also issuing the key and making the charges.
