I plan to leverage my tech consulting background and knowledge of diverse industries to join the family business and start a IT services subsidiary. Through my past work experiences I have a keen knowledge of the industry, software development life cycle, technology trends and client needs. More importantly, I have built up a network of clients, partners, future hires and mentors in USA and India that will enable me to succeed in my endeavor. In the long run, I plan to explore ideas for a software application or a website that fills in a niche in the market.
    
    I need a formal business education with training in marketing, strategy and managerial accounting to succeed as an entrepreneur. At this point, I believe that I accumulated enough life experiences to relate what I learn in class to the real world and to make an effective contribution in class. Having decided on an MBA, I quit my job in June 2007 so I could backpack around the world for one year before starting MBA classes. In the last 8 months on the road I have discovered new cultures, made friends for life, learned more about myself and experienced tremendous personal growth, making me a stronger candidate now.

    An MBA from UCLA will give me superior general management skills and will be the essential stepping-stone to my career aspirations. The projects, assignments and business plan competitions will give me the unique opportunity to engage, contribute and be challenged by the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of my international classmates and faculty.
