Wolfgang Keller At Konigbrau-Hellas A.E (A)

I would like to comment on the performance and problems underlying the two workers performance before giving my final recommendation.
Evaluation of Keller’s performance as a leader ( coach)
Although Wolfgang Keller  had been successful in turning around the two companies he took charge of before joining this company; it seems he is now having a problem of adjusting his mind set to fit the specific needs of a larger organization. He was involving in the day to day routines of the organization when he was supposed to deal with general management and strategic issues of the company. He also failed to discharge his responsibility of being an exemplary leader and coach to his subordinates. The performance management system of the company which is done only once a year is also another source of his managerial ineffectiveness.  He doesn’t have an integrated system of goal setting, monitoring and evaluation, provision of feedback and coaching in a continuous basis. The performance evaluation system is too subjective to reflect the true performance of the subordinates. Although his effort to understand his difference in management style and personality with petrou is appreciable, in my opinion he could have done better than that. He should have spent most of his time in coaching his subordinates instead of interfering with each and every little mistake they commit. His high caliber motivation to excel and commitment to the good performance of the company are his strengths.
