When it comes to taking a step forward to pursue an MBA degree, most MBA students have a career aspiration of climbing the corporate ladder to become successful executives in their organizations. My ultimate career ambition is to work for a global corporation playing a leadership role in product management. With my engineering background and my knowledge of product and process development have helped to mold my career path. Upon completion of my MBA degree, I will further develop my professional and leadership qualities on top my knowledge and skills. I even thought that working in a male dominant environment can be satisfying. Men think linearly, they are direct when giving orders and they can work well with even co-workers that they don’t like. Most of the time when woman is the minority in the organization, they are also treated with more respect and well-mannered by the men. When working with the boomers, I thought they are patient when educating and also cooperative in teams. As long as the people that they work with are hard workers, they work well with them. They early boomers lack computer skills and do not favor new technologies. It would be a great trade to educate them about technology and in return they would help out using their experiences in the workforce. During the cycle of change, employees go through 4 stages in their attempt to cope with change; 1) Denial, 2) Anger and Resistance, 3) Exploration and Acceptance and 4) Commitment. Experts revealed that during an organization change, there are similarities with the process a person goes through the loss of their loved ones.
