Work Place Observation Paper

As an employee of one of the largest private universities in the world, it’s extremely important for us to be professional at all times.  The University of Phoenix (UOPX) is one of the largest private universities in the world with over 400,000 students currently attending.  UOPX strives for excellences in maintaining our commitment to educating our community.  
    UOPX is a unique organization because; we provide opportunities to individuals that are experts in organizational policies, conflict management, and how communication flows.  It was in this historical context in 1976, that Dr. John Sperling, a Cambridge-educated economist and professor-turned-entrepreneur, founded University of Phoenix. Sperling anticipated the confluence of technological, economic, and demographic forces that would in a very short time herald the return of ever-larger numbers of working adults to formal higher education (Apollo Group, 2004).
    Moreover, UOPX communicates via teleconferencing, video conferencing, learning center meetings and emails to keep all employees up to date on any organizational policies.  Anytime a new policy is put in place all of the Apollo Group employees are made aware of it.  As well as the tools are put in place in order for the change to take place.
